Feeling Worn Out?
We’re here to help you tackle exhaustion and rebuild your energy.
Feeling exhausted goes beyond being tired – it’s a deep, ongoing fatigue that can affect your body, mind, and emotions. It can impact anyone and often builds up over time without us realising.
Types of Exhaustion
Physical Exhaustion
This may result from pushing your body too hard, poor sleep, or underlying health conditions. Signs can include aching muscles, low energy, brain fog, and more frequent illness due to a weakened immune system.
Mental exhaustion
Mental tiredness stems from prolonged concentration, stress, or information overload. It can leave you feeling overwhelmed, unable to focus, easily irritated, and may interfere with sleep or cause physical symptoms like tension headaches or stomach upset.
Emotional exhaustion
This is often the result of long-term stress, anxiety, or low mood. You may feel detached, unmotivated, or helpless – as if your emotional reserves are completely depleted. This can lead to withdrawal from the things you used to enjoy and may also show up as chronic pain or fatigue.
How NHS Talking Therapies can help
No matter what’s behind your exhaustion, you don’t have to face it alone. Small lifestyle changes such as better sleep routines, regular exercise, and moments of rest can make a difference. But when exhaustion starts to interfere with your wellbeing, talking therapies can offer valuable support.
Our trained therapists are here to help you explore the cause and build strategies to feel more energised and in control again. Find out more about how we can support here.
